Transparency
Fairtree stands for radical transparency. We believe that donors should know not just how many trees are planted, but how many are actually surviving and where. We also believe donors should know that their funds are reaching the people actually doing the work. We are still a new organization, with plenty of room for improvement, but we pride ourselves in being honest and transparent through all aspects of our work. To that end, we are happy to provide any reasonable information at the public’s request, provided it does not violate the privacy of the people we work with.
Fairtree.org will provide its Internal Revenue forms 990, 990-T, 1023, and 5227, bylaws, conflict of interest policy, and financial statements to the general public for inspection free of charge. Please make your requests at partner@fairtree.org
Follow the money
Fairtree ensures that the people doing the actual work receive the lion’s share of funding. Isn’t that how restoration should be?
